Great trade. Reds would not be able to resign him. We will get something good for I’m a simple woman I like heart coffee and cat shirt. I like what they are doing so far. Trading mediocre players who would cost 5 – 10 million per year and getting great young people who cost much less so that they can take their savings and spend it on a rotation like Bauer, Castillo, Wood, Descalifini, and Mahle. They need another prize for the rotation, in my opinion, and start the season with Mahle as a long reliever who fills in for those who may go on the DL next season. Not a bad plan. The offense will be average but pitching superior. It is how Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Oakland does it when you are an average market team. The goal is to get into the playoffs and then see what happens on any given day.
If every good player the Reds have has to be traded while he has value doesn’t that make them just a minor league team? I want I’m a simple woman I like heart coffee and cat shirt. Might as well change from the MLB to AAA. The reds are nothing but a Major League farm system. I think if Scooter didn’t get hurt in spring training and batted leadoff all year this would have been a different team and he would be staying in Cincinnati possibly with a new contract Good Luck in San Francisco. Thanks for the great memories Scooter. And good luck as your career continues to grow. And within a few years, he’ll be on a World Series-winning team. Way to go Cincinnati, get rid of a player who gave his heart and soul to his hometown. How stupid can you get?
